The Forty First monthly Meeting of our Association was held on 9th January, 2026 in premises of Senior Citizen Association Meeting Hall at 5.00 PM.

Minutes of Meeting Overview: .
The 41st General Meeting of the Senior Citizen Welfare Association was held on 9 January 2026 at 5:00 PM at the Senior Citizen Bhavan Meeting Hall. As per the approved agenda, the following discussions, acknowledgements, and resolutions were presented before the members and were unanimously approved.

1. Welcome Address: .
The Joint Secretary, Mr. K. Pandurangaiah, warmly welcomed all members who attended the 41st General Meeting.

2. Invitation to the Dais: .
The Joint Secretary respectfully invited all Executive Committee members to take their seats on the dais.

3. Invitation to New Members – Self Introduction:.
The President formally welcomed the following new members who recently joined the Senior Citizen Welfare Association:
•             Mr. K. Tippeswamy
•             Mr. K. Seetaramayya
•             Mr. Gummadi Durgaprasad
All the new members introduced themselves to the gathering.

4. Acknowledgements: .
•             The President expressed sincere thanks to all members who attended the conference titled “2025 – Health Realities & Resolutions in 2026 – Health Year” , held at Star Hospital in December 2025.

•             The President also conveyed heartfelt appreciation to all members for the grand celebration of the 2026 New Year, and thanked the organizing members and food sponsors for their generous support.

5. Birthday Greetings – January: .
Members celebrating their birthdays in January were felicitated with shawls and extended warm birthday wishes:

•             Mr. D. Anantha Reddy – 15/01/1940 – 86th Birthday
•             Mr. M. Mallikarjuna Sharma – 16/01/1952 – 74th Birthday
•             Mr. U. Penta Reddy – 15/01/1962 – 64th Birthday

The Association also conveyed birthday greetings and best wishes for good health and long life to the following members who could not attend the meeting:
•             Mr. B. Ramprasad – 13/01/1962 – 64th Birthday
•             Mr. M. Shourayya Reddy – 30/01/1950 – 76th Birthday
•             Mr. R. Vishwas Reddy – 05/01/1942 – 84th Birthday
•             Mr. B. K. Prasad Rao – 13/01/1954 – 72nd Birthday
•             Mr. L. Chinna Veerayya – 01/01/1959 – 67th Birthday
•             Mr. N. Bhaskaram – 26/01/1958 – 66th Birthday

6. Third Series – 9th Chit Lucky Draw: .
The 9th Chit Lucky Draw of the third series was jointly conducted by Mr. G. Venkateswara Rao and Mr. K. Pandurangaiah.

Mr. M. Anand Prasad was declared the winner of the lucky draw.

7. Army Day – 15 January: .
On the occasion of the 78th Army Day, Mr. Kashi Vishwanath Garu explained the historical significance of Army Day, which has been observed since 15 January 1949, marking the appointment of Field Marshal Kodandera Madappa Cariappa as the first Indian Commander-in-Chief of the Indian Army.
The Association proudly felicitated its retired Army personnel members Sri P. Satyanarayana Murty Garu Lt. Colonel, Super Senior Sri Buchaiah Garu, Sri K. Viswanath Garu, Sri T. Venkulu Goud Garu, Sri O. M. Kavi Garu for their service to the nation.
The members honoured them with warm applause.

8. Question Hour and Other Matters: .
During the open discussion session, Mr. V. Yadaiah informed the house that:

•             67 members participated in the New Year celebrations.
•             Food arrangements were sponsored by 15 members.
•             A total contribution of ₹21,000 was received, out of which ₹19,900 was spent.
•             The remaining ₹1,100 was handed over to the President and deposited into the Senior Citizen Association account.

9. President’s Message: .
•             It was decided to conduct Carroms and Chess competitions among Senior Citizen members as part of the 77th Republic Day celebrations on 26 January 2026.
•             A temporary organizing committee of four members was formed to manage the events:

o             Mr. Ch. Lakshman Goud
o             Mr. V. Yadaiah
o             Dr. S. Manohar Rao
o             Mr. K. Pandurangaiah
The committee was authorized to decide entry fees, referees, team formation, and event execution. Competitions will be conducted from 19 January to 24 January, and winners’ lists will be submitted by 24 January evening.

•             The Women’s Wing Deemed Members will conduct their competitions on 17 and 18 January and submit results by 24 January.

10. Patriotic Observances: .
The President highlighted the historical importance of “Vande Mataram” , which completed 150 years on 7 November 2025, and proposed that it be sung in full during the coming 75th Republic Day celebrations.
He also explained the significance and proper rendition of the National Anthem “Jana Gana Mana”, emphasizing discipline and respect during its singing.
All members approved these proposals with applause.

11. Republic Day Programme – 26 January 2026: .
Schedule: •             8:00 AM – Members assemble
•             8:15 AM – Bharata Mata Pooja
•             8:20 AM – Vande Mataram (Full Version)
•             8:30 AM – Flag Hoisting
•                            – National Anthem – Jana Gana Mana
•                            – Prize Distribution
•                            – Messages and Addresses

12. Get-Together 2026: .
The Association Get-Together will be organized in late February or early March 2026.
A special committee will be formed to handle planning, finances, food arrangements, and selection of a picnic location.
Members suggested locations such as Members were requested to suggest additional locations if any.

13. Cultural Programme: .
Mr. T. Swamy, Mr. Brij Gopal, and Mr. Thangirala Seetaram Rao entertained the gathering with melodious songs.

14. Vote of Thanks and Conclusion: .
The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by the Joint Secretary, Mr. K. Pandurangaiah.
